How do we know if we have heard and really believe the message of the gospel? One way to test if we have received this good news is to ask: Do we feel free? Have we received the freedom that backs the transformation we receive through the Holy Spirit?

Dig Deeper
The most beautiful people dig deep and grow toward the nutrients found within the firm foundation of Christ. Yes, they dig deep because they must. Survival is at stake, but it’s not the only thing that compels them. Their faithfulness and love of Christ compel them to “Dig Deeper” for a firm foundation on Jesus Christ! Amen!
The Promise
God has a plan. God has a gracious set of promises that he will fulfill. Destitution does not have the last word. The tragedies that come do not define us ultimately. So, as we are preparing for the Advent and Christmas Seasons, Chapter 33 of the Book of Jeremiah starts off with a beautiful promise of recovery and healing that the Lord is bringing.
Rekindle
You know, our Christian lives are a bit like a bonfire. We can be on fire for God (radiating Christ to those around us), but over time if we don’t rekindle the fire or keep it blazing, the fire within us can dim. Our desire to serve God can wane. Our desire to follow God can waver. Other things will take priority; and before we know it, we have lost our way.
Grace Alone
Today we have come to the realization that grace is something that we cannot earn, it cannot be bought, worked for. It comes through our humility and acceptance of the Crucified Savior. Our eternal salvation rests upon our acceptance and granted pardon from God.
Divine Manifestation
We need to have the same humble attitude the wise men displayed when they bowed before the boy, and indeed the same humble attitude of Christ who lowered Himself to become a human baby. During this season and all around the year let us bow our hearts in worship to God every day.
Trusting God’s Path
Every day we ought to assent to and openly embrace the fact that apart from Christ, we can do nothing. Now, these are some of the most famous verses in the book of Proverbs. Many people learn them and memorize them at an early age. As we break them apart,Proverbs 3:5-6 lays out three key points:
Unshakeable Foundation
On what have you built your life? What exactly do your faith, family, and future rest on? Have you built on a firm foundation that’s unshakeable, unmovable, or shifting sand that’s shifts with every storm?
Focused Life
Colossians 3:1-4 1Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is your[a] life, appears, then you also will appear with him… Continue reading Focused Life
Shaped by Jesus
The Bible says that you and I are always changing, and maybe we’re not always aware of it. Not just in the way we look, or the way we dress, but in our soul, our inner being.
New Beginning – January 2, 2022
Ezekiel 36:26-27 As we approach the coming of the New Year, many of us are thinking and making resolutions about those things we know we have to do; like losing weight, exercising, eating healthier, and taking our vitamins. We also begin to list out what we need to do spiritually, like reading the Bible and… Continue reading New Beginning – January 2, 2022
Abundant Life – December 1, 2021
"A thief comes only to steal and to kill and to destroy. I have come that they may have life and have it in abundance" We were not created merely to be safe. The human heart wants infinitely more than safety. Oh yes, safety is basic and necessary. We want to be protected from what… Continue reading Abundant Life – December 1, 2021
Saved for Service – October 9, 2021
Ephesians 2:8-108 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. These… Continue reading Saved for Service – October 9, 2021
Live Worthy – August 1, 2021
Philippians 1:19-3019 for I know that through your prayers and God’s provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ what has happened to me will turn out for my deliverance. 20 I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted… Continue reading Live Worthy – August 1, 2021
I Am Changed
2 Corinthians 3:17-18 “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the… Continue reading I Am Changed
