Making Connections at Cornerstone
Cornerstone is a local church that values loving one another in community, encouraging one another in the faith, and growing as followers of Jesus together.
Cornerstone offers an assortment of adult classes, bible studies, and small groups that meet consistently throughout the year.
Sunday School Classes
These include Sunday School classes for all walks of life on Sunday mornings at 9:30 am. For more information about our classes, email Pastor John Punni.
Children’s Ministry
Cornerstone’s children’s ministry comes alive on Sunday mornings for all ages. This includes classes at 9:30 am along with a kid’s worship time called the Hideout at 10 am. These ministries are designed to serve children ages 1 through 11 by helping them learn about God, hear the biblical story, provide them with opportunities to serve, and hear the gospel. Starla Eggleston is the Children’s Ministry Director.
Youth Ministry
Cornerstone’s youth ministry provides youth with the opportunity to experience God together, grow in their faith, hear and live the gospel, serve in mission, and have fun.
Discipleship Connection Groups and Bible Studies
We have two Discipleship Connection Groups that will be starting on Tuesday and Thursday each week. One will be offered on Tuesdays at noon beginning November 9, 2021 and one on Thursday evenings at 6:30 beginning November 11, 2021. Watch this page for more information.
Cornerstone Choir
Cornerstone has an exceptional choir directed and accompanied by Sherri Alley, our music director. Our choir shares an anthem each Sunday in worship and gives a cantata at Easter time and during the Christmas/Advent season. The choir also shares music as a bell choir during the holiday seasons.
United Methodist Women
United Methodist Women (UMW) is the largest denominational faith organization for women in the world with approximately 800,000 members whose mission is fostering spiritual growth, developing leaders and advocating for justice.

Cornerstone’s UMW group meets the third Tuesday of each month except July and August. They work on mission projects for the local community as well as the Oklahoma Conference and UMW as a whole. The UMW fundraising projects include making and selling cinnamon rolls and an annual garage sale usually in August. For more information about our UMW group, please contact the current UMW President Kelly McKinley.
Cornerstone Men’s Group
Come join the men of the church for devotion, prayer, and of course a delicious meal. Currently the Men’s Breakfasts are held at 8:30 a.m. on the second Saturday of each month. Currently they are meeting at Heather’s Stockyards Cafe in Stockyard City at 2501 Exchange Avenue #110.
